After many years in the textile industry, Marshall founded Carithers Real Estate, Inc. in 1971. Started primarily as a residential sales firm, Carithers Real Estate grew to become a leading commercial sales and development company instrumental in fostering economic growth throughout Anderson County and the surrounding areas. Over the years, Carithers Real Estate served many large corporate clients including, CVS, Rite Aid, Eckerd Drugs, Lowes, Burger King, KFC, Summit Home Health Care, along with several medical offices, destination retail, and public institutions.
Marshall now serves as the broker-in-charge for Integrity Property Management, LLC. His integrity and generosity drive his involvement in community organizations like the Anderson Sertoma Club, Foothills United Way, the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, and the AnMed Foundation Development Board. He and his family funded the start of the Anderson YMCA’s Youth Wellness Program for youngsters ages 8-13 and actively raised funds for AnMed Pediatric Therapy Works. His firm, Carithers Real Estate, has sponsored Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, the Anderson Recreation Center’s Youth Baseball Team, and the Shalom House for battered women and substance abusers.
